Having trouble with Brigad's notifications?
Firstly, make sure you’ve updated the latest version of the app. Simply go to the app store and update it.
In some cases, certain Android devices or third-party apps may block Brigad from sending push notifications. Please find below the steps to follow in order to solve this issue depending on your phone :
Android
For devices running Android version 6.0.1 and newer, check that your battery optimization is not preventing Brigad from sending you notifications:
Android version 6+
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Select Battery.
Tap the Overflow menu icon and choose Battery Optimization.
Tap the downward caret and choose All apps.
Tap Brigad, then tap Don't Optimize.
Android version 7+
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Select Apps.
Find and tap Brigad.
Select Battery, then tap Battery Optimization.
From here, select Apps, not optimized option and change it to All apps.
Find Brigad in this list and set it to Don't Optimize.
Android version 9
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Select Battery.
Choose Adaptive Battery.
Tap Restricted apps, and make sure Brigad is not listed.
Android device models
Below is a list of Android devices and models known to have issues with Brigad notifications.
Huawei Honor 6
Step 1: List Brigad as a protected app
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Power Saving.
Tap Protected apps.
Toggle Brigadto enable.
Step 2: Enable Brigad in the Notification Manager
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Notification Manager.
Select Notify for Brigad to receive push notifications.
Huawei Honor 8
Step 1: List Brigad as a protected app
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Advanced Settings.
Tap Battery Manager.
Tap Protected apps (or Close apps after screen lock).
Toggle Brigad to enable.
Step 2: Ignore battery optimizations for Brigad
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Apps.
Tap Advanced.
Select Ignore battery optimizations.
Choose Brigad and ignore the app.
Step 3: Allow notifications from Brigad
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Select the Notification Panel & Status Bar.
Tap Notification Center and find Brigad.
Ensure that Allow Notifications and Priority Display are active.
Huawei P8 lite
Step 1: Enable Brigad to run at startup
From the app drawer, tap Phone Manager.
Swipe left and tap Startup Manager.
Tap Brigad and ensure that it's set to run automatically at system startup.
Step 2: Allow notifications from Brigad
From the app drawer, tap Phone Manager.
Swipe left and tap Notification Manager.
Tap Rules and ensure that Brigad is set up to send notifications to the notification panel. Check if any other settings in this view may be blocking notifications.
Huawei Mate 8 & Huawei Nova Plus
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Advanced Settings.
Tap Battery Manager.
Tap Protected apps.
Toggle Brigad to enable.
Lenovo
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Power Manager.
Select Background app management.
Toggle Brigad to Allow auto-start.
OnePlus (Android 7.0 +)
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Apps.
Tap the gear icon in the top right.
Select App Autolaunch.
Toggle Brigad to enable.
OnePlus (Android 8.0 +)
Step 1: Check that app storage is set to clear normally
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Advanced.
Select Recent Apps Management.
Ensure that Normal Clear is enabled.
Step 2: Exclude Brigad from battery optimization
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Battery, then Battery Optimization.
Tap Apps not optimised and select All apps.
Find Brigad and ensure it's set to Don't optimize.****
OnePlus 3
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Battery.
Select Battery Optimization.
Tap the Overflow menu in the top right of that screen.
Select Advanced Optimization.
Toggle Brigad to off.
Samsung
Step 1: Prioritize notifications from Brigad
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Apps.
Select Brigad.
Under App Setting, tap Notifications.
Toggle on Set as priority.
Step 2: Exclude Brigad from battery optimization
From the app drawer, tap Settings.
Tap Device Management.
Select Battery.
Tap Unmonitored apps.
Add Brigad to this list.
